StatisticsGlobal publishes statistics that you can check. Every figure is written as one clear sentence, linked to the organisation that produced it, dated, archived and checked by an editor.
Why we exist
Most statistics pages online repeat numbers from other statistics pages. Many figures can no longer be traced to any study at all. Some were never real. We go back to the publisher that produced each number, link it directly, and say plainly when a popular figure cannot be traced.
Who runs it
StatisticsGlobal is run independently. An editor opens every source before a number goes live.
How we are funded
Our pages are free to read and free to cite with a link. We do not sell placements and we do not run display ads on statistics pages. Nobody can pay to add, remove or change a number. If we ever take sponsorship for original research, the sponsor will be named on the study and the method will stay ours.
Independence
We are not affiliated with any government, the United Nations or any national statistics office. Data from third parties is credited to its publisher and used under its licence.
